It is our sad duty to report the passing of Brother Brigadier General Henry E. Shaw Jr. (SVR). He died at 8:00am on Sunday, 16 October 2022.

Brother Shaw was the Deputy Commander for the Sons of Veterans Reserve as well as a valued mentor and friend to dozens of Past Commander-in-Chiefs of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War as well as serving as a member of the Board of Directors on the SUVCW Charitable Foundation for many years. Brother Shaw was born on 24 August 1938, was a member of Sergeant Richard Enderlin Camp #73 of the Department of Ohio was a Life Member (#552) since 19 March 1998 and served as Past Commander for both his Camp and Department.

To his wife Sharon, his daughter Jenny and his entire family, to the brothers of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War at the Camp, Department and National who he leaves and the Brothers of the SVR, we offer our sympathies and prayers at this difficult time.
