Obituary
Arrowsic – John F. Osborne, 66, of Main Road, died unexpectedly here Friday afternoon.
He was born in Beverly, Mass., Aug. 16, 1910, son of Stephen and Violet Shapell Osborne. He attended Bath schools.
Mr. Osborne was employed as a pipe-fitter at the Bath Iron Works for may years, retiring in March, 1974.
He was a past state department commander of the Sons of Union Veterans and a past commander of the T.W. Hyde Camp, Sons of Union Veterans. He was a member of the Senior Citizens of Bath.
Surviving are his wife, Elthea Warner Osborne; two daughters, Mrs. Justin Ingersoll of Bath and Mrs. Peter McDonald of West Bath; a brother, Charles Osborne of West Bath; several stepchildren and grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the David E. Desmond Funeral Home, 638 High St., with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
