Lucille “Peaches” Streeter

It is our sad duty to report the death of Woman’s Relief Corps Past National President Lucille “Peaches” Streeter on 16 January 2021.

PNP Streeter served as the WRC National President in 2018 during which she championed the conservation of an Indiana Civil War regimental battle flag in the GAR Memorial Museum in Springfield, Illinois.

She was the long-time Coordinator for the Southern Memorials Project and for each Memorial Day decorated the graves of the Civil War soldiers, whom she lovingly referred to as her “Boys in Blue”, with wreaths and flowers. For many years she dedicated her effort to serving the WRC Department of Michigan. PNP Streeter leaves an admirable legacy of selfless service and patriotism that is a credit to the Allied Orders of the Grand Army of the Republic.
