It is with deep regret that Daniel Chaplin Camp #3 announces the passing of Brother Davis Poland on September 27th. Dave joined Camp 3 in 2000 and was also a Dual Member of Camp 1 for several years. He earned the SUVCW Bronze War Medal for his service in the Korean War as a Navy veteran and was also in Co. F, 11th ME Vol. Inf., Sons of Veterans Reserve.

Davis Poland, 87, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2018. He was born May 21, 1931, in Rumford, a son of Arthur and Karlenne (Powers) Poland. Dave served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.
He graduated from colleges in New Jersey and Delaware and was employed as a director of training at the DuPont Chemical Company in Wilmington, Del. Dave was a member of the Corinna United Methodist Church, the Gideons International, the Corinna Post American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid clock collector and was known for repairing antique clocks for over 50 years. Dave was a longtime member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc.
