Obituary
Sanford – Lester Clinton Crenner, 92, of 28 Lenox St., died Sunday in a local hospital. He was a retired cabinet maker and carpenter and had served as local parade marshal for many years.
He was born in Limerick, April 19, 1879, son of Charles and Orilla Hayes Crenner. He was a member of the Sons of Union Veterans, and was a 50-year member of Preble Lodge AF and AM.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jennie Clifford of Shrewsbury, Mass.; a grand-niece, Mrs. Stanley V. Charlton of Sanford, with whom he had been residing, and a nephew, Paul Sawyer of Sanford.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Carl-Heald Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Springvale, with the Rev. C. Arthur Hover, pastor of the Sanford Unitarian Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in the spring.
