Obituary

Bath, Dec. 29 – Lloyd Lee Hooker, 78, carter member of T.W. Hyde Camp, SUV, and a past division commander, died tonight at Memorial Hospital.

He was taken ill at his home this afternoon and removed to the Hospital.

Born in Bath, a son of Charles and Annie Church Hooker, he was a lifelong resident.  Formerly a deacon of the old Peoples Baptist Church, he had for a number of years been a deacon of First Baptist Church and was a founder and teacher of its Men’s Bible Class.

Mr. Hooker was a member of Polar Start Lodge of Masons and Montgomery and St. Bernard, RAM, and a past commander of Dunlap Commandery, K.T.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eva Dunn Hooker, one son, C. Lloyd Hooker, and three grandchildren, all of Bath.

The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
