Pvt. Robert Pentland Memorial

Camp 3 Daniel Chaplin Camp held a graveside memorial for Pvt. Robert Pentland, Co. E. 1st Maine Calvary on Saturday, August 22nd in Burlington Maine.

This small gravesite had been lost to history for many years, only to be re discovered by the Burlington Historical Society. Camp 3 – along with the Department of Maine Commander Bonney and Elise Bonny of Palmer, tent Daughter of Union Veterans of the Civil – war performed the G.A.R headstone dedication service.

In attendance is Brother Larry Bonney, Dept Commander; Brother Peter Redman, Camp 3 Commander; Robert Richford, Camp 3; Brother Howard Black, Camp 3, Senior Vice Dept G.A.O; Brother James Ewing, Camp 3 Guard; Brother Joe Belding, Camp 3 Chaplin; and Brother James Bonney, Camp 3.
