It is with heavy heart that we report the passing of Brother David J. Klinepeter, CC on October 9, 2023. Brother Klinepeter was born on April 19, 1926 in Pennsylvania and has been member of the SUVCW for 80 years. During teenage years in 1943 Brother Klinepeter joined the Major General John F. Hartranft Camp #15 in Harrisburg, Pa.

Before he joined the Sons he enlisted into the United States Navy and was Veteran of World War II.

Brother Klinepeter in 2014 was awarded the SUVCW Meritorious Service Award and also awarded in 2018 the Elmer Atkinson Life Time Award. Brother David was one of the first Brother of MG John F. Hartranft Camp #15 to become a National Life Member.
