On September 23rd The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War with Dept. Commander Peter Redman, Past Dept. Commander Larry Bonney and Dept. Chaplin James Bonney performed the G.A.R graveside ceremony for Pvt. Joseph Cummings, Co K 13th Me.

This cemetery had recently been discovered and three generations of Cummings Patriots were identified, one serving in the Revolution and another in the War of 1812. Past Dept. Commander Bonney and Dept. Chaplin James Bonney cleared the brush and ground to set the new stones. The Sons were joined by The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War who also attended the Ceremony .
